The Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa G.I. Katsigras Museum is active in the following areas:
– promotion of the visual arts (painting, sculpture, applications, constructions, etc.) by organizing exhibitions, educational programmes, lectures, screenings, films and other events that decisively contribute to the artistic aesthetic education of our fellow citizens, while giving the stimuli for reflection in the spirit of friendship and social progress.
– operation of free workshops and study centres.
– operation of an art library where one can read and borrow books.
– collaboration, utilization and promotion of local artists.
– collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Municipalities, Art Galleries, Museums, Foundations of Visual Arts, institutions and artists with similar purposes.
– collaboration and work exchange with Art Galleries and Museums abroad, decisively contributing to the strengthening of our country’s relations.
